YIN-YANG YOGA

Yin and Yang styles of yoga combine to balance and nourish us on an emotional, physical, spiritual and mental level. As a trained and passionate teacher of Yin and Yang Yoga, I am currently available for private classes in Berlin, Germany. My motivation to teach comes from a deepening understanding of the richness that yoga, meditation and pranayama bring to individuals and the collective. I have benefited tremendously from these practices, and it is my joy and calling to bring these teachings to others.

The Yin side of yoga focuses on reflection, contemplation, holding floor-based poses for 3-5 minutes each, and going inward to explore the depths of our emotional realms. In contrast (and to complement), the Yang side brings heating, dynamic, strengthening, active poses to raise energy. Yin is representative of the moon and the feminine and Yang is representative of the sun and the masculine. Exploring both sides of yoga helps to bring us into balance in ourselves and in our world.

My formal training is as follows:

  • 70-hour Primary Level Insight Yoga Teacher Training Intensive with Sarah Powers, Oslo, Norway, 2019
  • Yin/Yang Yoga and Mindfulness Workshop with Sarah Powers, Berlin, Germany, 2018
  • 200-hour Hatha Vinyasa Teacher Training with Lorraine Aronson, Shanghai, China, 2011
  • Three 10-day silent Vipassana meditation courses, Suan Mokkh, Thailand, 2006 & 2007 and Dhamma Pallava, Poland, 2018

Private (1:1) sessions are priced as follows:

  • 60-minute session: 50€
  • 90-minute session: 70€
